Wow. This is an incredibly beautiful birth story that is even more incredible when you hear about the backstory. Kristin Stefanou from Ella Lu Photography in Florida shared her work with us, and we're so glad she did.
What to say about this amazing delivery…this amazing FAMILY? Just over a week before baby Kai made his entrance into the world, the Williams’ home and yard were flooded about a foot all throughout.
Can you imagine having three young daughters at home, knowing you could go into labor at ANY MOMENT, and dealing with such a disaster? Fast forward to just over a week later and April’s water breaks. She isn’t in labor yet but decides that when the moment comes she will deliver at her sister’s home since hers isn’t ready yet.
24 hours later and she STILL wasn’t in labor.
A few hours go by and they decide to deliver in the only part of their home that wasn’t damaged, the kitchen and dining room. Immediately, Dylan (daddy) gets to work clearing out all of the boxes and cleaning the dining room. He then brings in and puts together the bed and pool. With just a few minutes to spare April is in hard labor and able to deliver her 4th baby (also her 4th home birth!) in the comfort of her OWN home surrounded by her family and close friends. Such an amazing night.
